About Claire O'Shea:
Although my interest in the human body goes back much further, I began my studies in 1998 with a two year diploma course in Holistic Studies at the College of Commerce in Cork. During my time there I studied aromatherapy, amatsu, diet and nutrition, holistic massage, Indian head massage, reflexology, reiki, stress management, sports injuries massage, sports psychology and yoga. Since then I have continued to study and have undertaken courses and workshops in many different modalities; including maternity massage, sub-fertility and maternity reflexology, Hawaiian lomi lomi nui, Thai yoga massage and cranio-sacral workshops to name but a few. More recently, in 2014, I undertook several courses in Fitness Instruction, Group Instruction and became a Personal Trainer with EQF level 4 qualification.
A commitment to continued learning and the highest standards of client care have always been very important to me. The body is amazingly strong yet highly sensitive and I feel that by continuously growing as a therapist, I am able to help my clients understand and take care of their own bodies better. I offer a holistic approach to my clients, whether you are coming to me for fitness, remedial massage or relaxation. Treating the client as a whole and utilising elements from all the various modalities I have studied means that each session is unique and adapted for how the client is on that particular day. I've found that working with the body in this way encourages longer lasting benefits and stimulates our bodies' own natural healing powers, returning the body gently to a state of health and well-being.
I work Tuesday to Saturday with clinic locations in both Clonakilty and Bantry. I look forward to welcoming you and helping you with your journey to health and well-being. If you would like to discuss your particular situation before making a booking please do not hesitate to call or text me on the number below.
